I’m looking for trauma survivors.
Oh, look, There You Are! I’ve been looking for you, A Survivor.
You may be asking yourself, “Who are you talking to? I’m no survivor. I’m barely hanging on.” Yes, it’s you I’ve been looking for. Have you survived some form of trauma? If you’re reading this, then yes, you have survived. Now, after enduring, you are taking an important step toward your healing place. Let’s keep going to see how I can help you overcome and become whole again.
Do any of these sound familiar? During childhood trauma, you experienced abandonment, abuse, assault, neglect, and/or rejection. How about recent, acute events that have never been managed with care? Are you a survivor of a car accident, a natural disaster that took every physical you held dear, or maybe you’ve endured a rape or an assault? Were you finally able to get away from an abusive partner? Maybe it’s something entirely different. We can confront it together.
It can be extremely difficult to manage the long-term effects of trauma. Sometimes, we can make ourselves believe that it’s been long enough and we should be “over it” by now. The only way to truly consider yourself over trauma is to heal completely from the history of pain, wiping away any fragments that may linger. Lingering consists of recurring nightmares, fatigue, stagnation in life, physical and mental pain, and exhaustion.
You don’t have to struggle through life, reliving the event. I can help you learn coping skills while uprooting and tending to the wounds left by traumatic experiences.
Serenity is the goal.
Trust in any relationship is not always easy to earn. I’d argue that there are layers to therapeutic relationships that can create barriers or make them easier to attain. I’m often told how easy it is for me to open up, usually because of my calm demeanor.
I’m eager to hear your story. I’ve heard many, which makes me qualified; however, each is unique. Your story deserves to be heard, and you deserve to tell it on your terms.
Much of my work is grounded in my Christian beliefs. Those values, along with many research-based therapies, provide clients with guidance toward discovering the best version of themselves.
Therapeutic tools I use could include journaling, outdoor meditation, walks near ponds or rivers, taking in fresh air, music, and art therapy.
Seeking serenity is a journey.
The Serene journey is a therapeutic experience designed to help you reach the ultimate goal, healing.
Becoming whole mentally, spiritually, and physically requires motivation and dedication to yourself.
Taking time weekly or bi-weekly to achieve therapeutic goals through practices that relieve the mind of exhaustion and fatigue, fear and anxiety, while reintroducing oneself to a trusting life experience.
These evidence-based practices will help you to uncover, gain clarity, and focus on the truth of reclaiming yourself.
Sessions promote positive change.
During Sessions, my goal is to instill courage, offer glimpses of hope, and bring peace – motivating you to press on toward positive changes in your lives.
Helping women gain strength by recognizing their value/self-worth, while building confidence in their self-esteem, is truly a joy for me.
Our sessions will take place online, so it may be challenging to step away from your current environment to visualize a tranquil therapeutic space.
Often, I’ve been able to achieve this with subtle changes I may ask a client to do. Telehealth experiences can be unique in offering safety and peace of mind.
Become whole, without trauma.
It’s worth noting that after a few months, you will begin to feel relief from the life you once felt trapped within. Clarity and self-awareness are two key measurements of the growth you’ll experience during your journey.
Finding strength and trusting yourself to become a version of yourself you likely haven’t seen in a while or someone you’ve never known. I’m excited for you. I hope you are too!
Joy will come in the morning. Have faith in the process. You are worth fighting for. There is so much more to you than an experience that tried to grip you.
Together, we can discover who you really want to become. Your mental wellness is important, and I’m here to help. Fill out the Contact Serene form. Peace will soon follow.

What is Internal Family Systems (IFS) Therapy?
This therapeutic model helps the client focus on the distinct parts of the mind that contribute to the traumatic framework. The IFS modality helps remove the lens through which parts of a person’s feelings and thoughts are viewed as bad.
These parts are viewed as a system developed to protect the body and mind. The client will come to identify the parts of the belief system that were defended during traumatic life experiences but have become obstacles to the healing process.
Serene therapy will work on the six Fs of Internal Family Systems: Find, Focus, Flesh out, Feel toward, Befriend, and Fear. These focal points will lay the groundwork for a strategy to understand yourself and move forward more effectively.
Clients will work to have a tangible awareness of the innermost parts of their thoughts and belief systems.
IFS delves into the underlying causes.
Internal Family Systems Trauma Therapy will help the client to address deeply rooted unresolved trauma, which can, in turn, deliver deep healing.
As an IFS therapist, I will provide you with various techniques to work through trauma via depression, anxiety, and complex trauma. We will work to restore mental and emotional well-being, trust, and security. IFS therapy helps to guide you to a place of identifying and understanding your pain to process it more effectively.
Working to increase self-esteem, self-leadership, and motivation through IFS interventions helps the client to regain their power over the situation. This engagement will help the client to release self-criticism, guilt, shame, blame, and all other roles of trauma to cope in a healthier functioning manner.
IFS Therapy typically lasts 12+ weeks, during which we work together on awareness of the parts that are loudest in your mind – learning to understand their role in your functioning over time. The client will work to understand alliances with certain parts and how to reduce reliance to move forward.
Finding a path forward is possible.
Finding a path forward through IFS therapy often embraces compassion, self-reliance, motivating factors to grow and release the traumatic past as much as possible.
If you are interested in this type of therapy and ready to surrender to hope and release trauma, please submit the contact form now.
I’m excited to hear from you and how we can work together.
