Serene therapy is different from other therapies.
What makes Serene therapy different? As a therapist, I am extremely attuned to my clients’ needs and work diligently to provide a compassionate, tailored response to each client’s goals. Serene therapy is a tranquil entity, connected to a source that is truly Person-Centered. What does this mean? Deciding to seek therapy for one’s development, growth, and self-awareness is a key reason why Person-Centered Therapy is an engaging tool that helps clients feel they are heard, that they matter, and that they gain power over their circumstances.
How does Person-Centered therapy work?
Person-Centered Therapy will help you to determine what boundaries are needed for success in your life. I will guide you in identifying, establishing, and implementing boundaries that will support your goals. This therapeutic approach, like all others, is non-judgmental, fosters a genuine relationship between therapist and client, and focuses on supporting the client’s feelings, whether negative or positive. It’s important to understand that this type of therapy is guided solely by the client and should not be interpreted as a place to receive advice and directives on how to lead one’s situation. My goal is to encourage, build confidence, and offer a safe, open-minded environment for my client to build on and grow from their experiences. I utilize talk therapy to help my clients center themselves through intentional behaviors, active listening, and mindfulness. There are times when direct exposure is necessary; however, learning to reframe negative thinking patterns can be equally useful. Although my practice is online, we can still spend time applying these techniques in various ways. Walk-and-Talk therapy is an approach many clients enjoy, especially during the Spring through Autumn seasons. Mindfulness and gratitude are often emphasized in this approach to help the client embrace the Here and Now moments of their lives. Are you ready for something different?
